The “Governator” of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger opposes Proposition 19 which would cause cannabis to be legalized and taxed. Earlier this month though, he signed a bill that Decriminalized Marijuana in California! I mean sure the state has always been the place that everyone associated with pot, but now California is finally taking even bigger steps than when they allowed medicinal cannabis.
Sure Schwarzenegger has been seen taking puffs from a joint but he still does not like the fact that he may be the first state in America that legalizes weed. Maybe it’s because he feels he’s slacking or may be looked down upon by other government officials. But Arnold is taking a step in the right direction with the decriminalization.
Massachusetts has decriminalized cannabis as well, and both states face the same violations serving a $100 fine for under an ounce of the stinky green. The amount of money that will be saved for the states that Decriminalize/Legalize cannabis will be insurmountable. No lawyers would have to be appointed to these misdemeanor crimes anymore which will save a hell of a lot of money for every state that gets their heads out of their ass’s and takes a step in the right direction.
The vote for Legalization of Marijuana in California will be taking place on November 2nd, 2010. Let’s hope all goes well for Cali so that they can set an example for the rest of America!
